Our vision is to improve the quality of life for older people, physically disabled and people in need in the community by assisting and promoting existing social services and identifying new areas of need in order to respond to them.
We are in existence since 1972 when our first service, Meals on Wheels, began. In 1980, the purchase and renovation of the building in Brackernagh commenced. An extension to this building was opened in 1985. This complex has become the hub for the services that we provide, to cater for the needs of our target population in the local area.
In 2006, we were honoured to have an official visit from President McAleese and her husband to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Day Care Centre.
In 2012, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of Ballinasloe Social Services.
We are delighted to announce that the purchase of a new Meals on Wheels van will be achieved with kind support from IPB Insurance. IPB Insurance is Ireland's only indigenous mutual insurance compnay and the only 100% Irish-owned and managed insurance company in operation. IPB operates a Corporate Social Engangement Framework, which is buil;t arount supporting projects and initiatives in the areas of Diaspora, Sport, Education, Community and Business innovation.
