Our vision is to improve the quality of life for older people, physically disabled and people in need in the community by assisting and promoting existing social services and identifying new areas of need in order to respond to them.
We are in existence since 1972 when our first service, Meals on Wheels, began. In 1980, the purchase and renovation of the building in Brackernagh commenced. An extension to this building was opened in 1985. This complex has become the hub for the services that we provide, to cater for the needs of our target population in the local area.
In 2006, we were honoured to have an official visit from President McAleese and her husband to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Day Care Centre.
In 2012, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of Ballinasloe Social Services.
Our Annual General Meeting is being held on Wednesday, 15th November at 7.45pm in the Day Centre, Brackernagh, Ballinasloe.
Our Guest Speaker on the night is Senator Joan Freeman, founder of Pieta House Suicide Prevention Charity. All are welcome to attend
