Day Care Services
Promoting Independence
Our Day Care Service provides an invaluable service for enabling older people to stay in their own homes, which is their stated preference. We are committed to promoting the independence of our clients, personally, medically, psychologically, socially and spiritually and we advocate continuous quality improvements of their lives to the fullest extent possible.
Improving Health And Wellbeing
This service aims to improve the mental health, general well-being and quality of life of those who avail of it. It alleviates social isolation and maintains the intergenerational balance in local communities.
It operates Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The cost associated with this service is €10 per day.
We have our own minibus that transports people from the town each day and services the following rural areas:
- Monday: Kiltormer, Laurencetown, Clontuskert
- Tuesday: Taughmaconnell, Moore, Clonfad
- Wednesday: Kiltormer, Laurencetown, Clontuskert
- Thursday: Kilconnell, Aughrim, Cappatagle
Any older person who has their own transport can also avail of the day service.
