We recently had the official opening of our new dining room and prayer room, in conjunction with our Annual General Meeting. The refurbishment of this area was made possible by the support of many groups and organisations. Galway County Council allocated a grant towards the work.
Ballinasloe Cycling Club, Ballinasloe Folk Choir, Mercy Sisters Western Province, supporters of our Pop-Up Boutique all contributed towards the project. Creagh National School contributed hugely towards the work in the sale of the St. Brigids Crosses. Senator Maura Hopkins worked closely with us on the project also.
So it was fitting to celebrate the completion of this work with the official opening and blessing (by Fr. Bernie Costello) of this new space in our Day Centre. Senator Hopkins and the children from Creagh National School cut the ribbon and declared this area officially open. Light refreshments were then served to everyone.
